Impacting Slovakian Prayer Room Makes the NewsCarla Harding - 27 Apr 2009

Impacting installations are the inspiration for prayer in this Slovakian Prayer Room.  Creative talent has been harnessed to provoke reflection, meditation and conversation with the Father for the 170 people that have filled its hours in prayer.  The room was so impacting it wasn't just Christians who took notice, three newspapers (two mainstream and one Catholic paper) reported on the colourful sacred space!

“[People] were praying for better and purer relationships, healing from drug and alcohol addiction, [release] from bondage in human hearts caused by un-forgiveness, anger, fear, sadness, pride [and] envy...” Writes Klara from Nitra.  “All [eight churches and students from two campuses] were united in the prayer for blessing, love and wisdom in our families, for our state representatives and church leaders.”

The Prayer Room was built around four key themes…

The Cross

"Whoever believes in me, as the scripture says, streams of living water will flow from within him." John 7:38

Unity Among Christians

"Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35
