Jan 15-16: Taskforce meets in Thun to discuss 24-7 structure questions - 13 Jan 2006
|
Hello everyone – here’s an update on what’s happening with 24-7 right now. Please take this article and use it for prayer! At the 2005 Roundtable gathering, held in Herrnhut, GE, a 24-7 ‘Taskforce’ was formed to implement an international structure for the movement by September 2006. The Taskforce is led by Jon Petersen from the US, and includes 24-7 leaders from Germany, Canada, the UK, the US and more.

This weekend is one of the key meetings for the Taskforce, as they gather in Thun, Switzerland to approach the complicated questions around the issue of structure. Specifically, the weekend will be spent evaluating the current vision, values and structure of 24-7 and then brainstorming structural models and how each might be applied to better the movement. |
Thun,Switzerland...gee, can I be on the Taskforce?

This is a very important gathering and process in the life or our movement. We seek to facilitate growth and determine direction for the future. We want to be shaped by where we are going rather than simply where we have been. The object of the weekend isn’t to ‘solve a problem’ or ‘produce a decision’ – the purpose is to create communication and share ideas in a prayerful context of friendship.

The Taskforce will again meet in the Spring and summer to finalize their ideas and have been asked to present a final structure proposal to the IBLT in September.
Please pray for wisdom in every way for the Taskforce and their meeting this weekend! Pray that they will effectively discern what is best for the movement, the people the movement is affecting, and ultimately that all of it would give God glory in the nations of the earth.
