Writing Competition: Holy Men Pray for RainCarla Harding - 4 Sep 2009

Images provoke reactions and this image featured in the British newspaper the Telegraph last week is no exception...

As we observe the prayer practices of other faiths what do we learn?  What does it say to us about faith, perseverance, the hunger of world to believe there is a God who can intervene?

So we lay down this challenge!

Submit a short article inspired this image and the best exploration of prayer and faith in Jesus will be published here on the 24-7 blog.

Your article must be:
    •    about prayer!
    •    between 300 and 500 words long
    •    be globally appropriate not culturally specific
    •    focus on what we can learn as Christians and not judging other beliefs
    •    personal and honest (vulnerability is often better than preaching)
    •    be accompanied by a short biography and high resolution headshot of the author

Articles must be submitted by Friday 11th September, let the writing begin!
