A Very 24-7 Wedding!Carla Harding - 30 Sep 2009
“I thought ya'll might like to know that 24-7 has birthed a marriage...a distinctly 24-7 Prayer Boiler Room marriage!
My name was Brooke Sellers and I was part of the Stockbridge Boiler Room community in the USA. My now husband Tim Collier is a member of the Madison Boiler Room community also in the USA. Our first meeting took place in Stockbridge, we were engaged at the 24-7 US National Gathering 6 months later in Minneapolis and have now wed, 3 months after that, in the side yard by the Stockbridge Boiler Room. We were incredibly pleased to have our ceremony officiated by Tony Tendero and Joe Steinke, the leaders of the two communities.
Tim is the state coordinator for Wisconsin in Campus America, a fantastic/improbable 24-7 vision to see an unbroken chain of prayer in 2010 across every University, College and Seminary Campus in the states. I am now a Transit mentor for this year's students in Madison. Inputting into people who are giving nine months of their lives to live in 24-7 community, exploring rhythms of prayer, mission, mercy, learning and hospitality is amazing. We’re both also serve in the core leadership team for the Madison Boiler Room now.
Ours is a very happy story, indeed.
Warmly,
Brooke Collier"
