Salvation Army, Australia Pray 24-7-365Carla Harding - 15 Feb 2010

2010 is the year for unbroken prayer so it seems as the third stream of the global church launches it's year of 24-7-365 since the year began.  I want to extend a big 'Welcome' to the Salvation Army in the Eastern Territory of Australia.  Our brothers and sisters kicked off the year with a prayer day for people of Haiti and are now passing the challenge of 24-7 Prayer from Corps to Corps (or local church to local church) around their part of the nation.

"Just imagine the spiritual outpouring from God if our Army responded to an urgent, passionate call to 24-7 Prayer." Reads their website. "As people pour out before God those who need to know Jesus as Saviour, to situations of poverty, oppression and injustice, God will meet us and fill us with fresh enthusiasm to share the gospel."

Please pray blessing on these guys as they give themselves to prayer.  Who knows where God will take them?

Interested in praying 24-7-365 in your city, network or nation?  We can help.  Check out the Year of Prayer page in the Prayer section of this site.

Carla leads on the work and growth of 24-7 Prayer across Great Britain and she is part of the Lectio 365 team, helping people pray the Bible every day. Her life was hijacked by God in 1999 during a two hour stint in the first ever 24-7 Prayer Room. Carla loves prayer and worship, friends and food, a well told story and a challenge to get her teeth into. In her spare time, Carla is an active member of Revelation Family Church, a 24-7 Prayer Community.
