What are you doing this summer?Scot Bower - 13 Apr 2010

It's that time of year when my more organised friends ask the question: 'So, what are you doing this summer?'

As if on cue I received an email from Source Boiler Room in Mineapolis with some exciting details from their summer schedule of mission and training.

Source are a 24-7 Prayer Boiler Room and their location in the United States' most diverse neighbourhood with the combination of poverty, a wide range of internationals (over 100 languages spoken within 1.5mile area) and the arts make it an incredible backdrop to celebration, servanthood and learning.

Source has reached out to the marginalized, skeptical, and homeless youth since 1995. Source Boiler Room includes 24/7 prayer weeks, Homeless Youth outreach, Fallout Urban Art Center & Coop, & Transitional Homes. Our 2 day, 1 week, or 10 week Training & Outreach Opportunities are set up for individuals and/or groups to come experience the realities in our culture and get a real taste of being a light. Teachings, sight visits, electives, small group processing, and prayer are all included. Designed to create exposure, hands on experience and interaction that reveal the reality of the needs in our own back yard. Processing with Source staff & urban workers that have years of experience and currently live in the city allow uniquely impacting processing times.

Source Boiler Room have details of how to get involved with all they're doing in Minneapolis this summer on their website now.
