Ben Cantelon to lead worship at Magnify - 9 Jun 2010
With over 100 nations and more than 7,200 registered prayer rooms in the last 10 years we certainly have reason to party! As we organise 24-7 Prayer's tenth anniversay celebration we wanted to make sure there's time to express our thankfulness and praise to God. That’s why we’re so excited to have Ben Cantelon leading worship for Magnify, 24-7 Prayer's international gathering this September! If you've never heard of Ben before let me take a few paragraphs to introduce you...
Originally from Canada, Ben is now living in London, England and has been leading worship for several years at Soul Survivor (one of the largest Christian youth festivals in the UK, with a vision, “to equip ourselves and others to worship God and follow Jesus with our whole lives”). His unique heritage as the son of a pastor and the grandson of Canada’s first televangelist must have been pivotal in shaping his perspective on worship and celebrating the presence of God.
2009 was a year of new things for Ben. Last summer he joined the staff at Worship Central, Alpha International’s school of worship, released his first solo worship album, Running After You, and married his bride Alice in September. Holy Trinity Brompton, the church where Ben, Worship Central and Alpha are based, is praying 24-7 this week! Pete Greig, one of the founders of 24-7 Prayer, is serving HTB, developing their corporate prayer life and has really enjoyed working alongside Ben. Carla Harding, 24-7's director of Prayer, says,
"Ben's warmth and passion for God make him a sensitive leader of worship. I am so excited that he's joining us in Edinburgh. There's so much to praise God for... we've got to remain grateful and in awe of all God's doing throughout the earth!"
Magnify will be from the 16th - 18th September this year in Edinburgh, Scotland. We anticipate that it will be an incredible time of worship, celebration, prayer, God’s presence, teaching and testimonies. Find out more about the gathering and why you should come!
