Campus America: The Four WindsRachel Wegner - 9 Jul 2010

Hello there, 24-7 family!

The month behind us has certainly been full as many of us involved in Campus America, students and National Team members alike, have seemingly spread out with the four winds. Some of us have traveled to see family and celebrate weddings while others have gone on mission trips and made visits to encourage others. I returned recently from traveling to Spain with six friends from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where we spent a few weeks with the rather brilliant 24-7 Ibiza crew. It was an incredible, heart-wrenching, glorious time and I plan to more fully write about it in the near future.

In the next week or so, we are sending out several of our own to minister in China for a few weeks. We are also sending our first wave of teammates to the East coast of the U.S. for final preparations for our NORTHFIELD 2010 summer gathering. Our anticipation is growing as things come together for this gathering, and we sense that the Lord has very specific and powerful things to show us as we are there. In the last month, we have seen great provision as a faithful few have offered to pay for partial scholarships for students to attend this gathering. We are praying that God continues to unfold His will as the time to gather draws near. If you would like any more information on this gathering, you can reach us at [email protected].

As the summer months move along, we have encouraged students to adopt their own personal prayer rhythms. Every week or two, we send out resources via e-mail to help them along as they pray and contemplate who God is, wherever they may be for the summer. Our heart is to see these students develop prayer as a rhythm in their lives both inside and outside their experience of prayer on their campuses. During our NORTHFIELD 2010 gathering, we will also have a 24-7 Prayer Room available and truly believe God has great things for the campuses of America as we prepare for the quickly arriving fall semester.

Next month, I am sure to have some wonderful stories from NORTHFIELD 2010 to share and even more word of how God is meeting students in prayer across the nation. Until then, be sure to keep track of the regular flow of stories, videos and other updates on our website, Twitter and Facebook fan page.

Grace, peace and overwhelming love to you all.
