Samie back in hospital - 20 Dec 2001

We'd appreciate your prayers for Samie Greig who was re-admitted to hospital on Wednesday for further tests after a really bad couple of weeks.

After successful surgery in March and a fairly steady recovery up to September, Samie suddenly developed a serious form of epilepsy in October from which she hasn't really recovered. This has put her into hospital several times and has really damaged Pete and Samie's attempts to re-build family life.

Yesterday was quite tough because a Doctor told Samie that, while they would normally consider it 'probable' that a person's epilepsy could be controlled by drugs, Samie's case has been so unpredictable that they consider her chances of living a fit-free life only 'possible' - not probable. There is also no guarantee that Samie will be out for christmas so please pray that:

  • The Doctors get information that really helps them understand what is going on
  • That the God of the impossible turns a medical 'possibility' into a reality and brings Samie to a place of freedom from seizures - either through drugs or supernatural deliverance.
  • For a healthy and happy Christmas for the Greig family who are just exhausted after a very tough year.

    Thanks.
