Lead me Beyond

Lead me beyond, Father.

Help my heart to see
that this spark in me
is something mundane
yet divine.

Anchor my soul
to your kingdom,
where joy always rules.

Teach me what is this joy,
that overcomes,
invites light to enter darkness
and denies the existence of mediocrity.

Grant me the grace to carry this joy,
rooted in you.
That through a smile I could whisper
to people who you are,
and who they are in you.
To carry this joy,
rooted in you.
That even when my smile
comes to an end
I might just know,
that You are.
