Happy Christmas!Scot Bower - 20 Dec 2010

Happy Christmas! Joy has come!

The words of this hymn beautifully sum up the arrival of Christmas Day. We have waited expectantly throughout Advent, longing for the dawn of Christmas Day and the coming of Christ Emmanuel. So today we celebrate, and we continue to celebrate as Jesus remains with us, Christ came once, Christ remains with us through The Spirit and Christ will come again.

Yes Lord we greet you, born this happy morning.

Oh, come, all ye faithful,
joyful and triumphant,

Oh, come ye, oh, come ye, to Bethlehem.

Come and behold Him,
born the King of angels;
Oh, come, let us adore Him,
Oh, come, let us adore Him,

Oh come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Sing, choirs of angels,
sing in exultation;

Oh, sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!

Glory to God,
all glory in the highest;
Oh, come, let us adore Him,
Oh, come, let us adore Him,

Oh come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee,
born this happy morning;

Jesus, to Thee be all glory given;

Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing;
Oh, come, let us adore Him,
Oh, come, let us adore Him,

Oh come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Lyrics - John Francis Wade (1711 - 1786)

May this Christmas Day fill you with Hope, Peace, Joy and Love.
