New nations prayed & lives were saved 2010Carla Harding - 14 Jan 2011

Last month I took stock of the amazing testimonies we’ve received from praying people around the world.  This month I crunched some numbers and worked out some stats; 2010 was a year drenched in prayer!

From the 1st of January to the 31st December followers of Jesus made time to pray in 908 24-7 Prayer Rooms!  That’s almost a thousands places where people gathered to pray night and day, to waste time on God and dare to believe that this world can change. Woohoo!  These creative prayer spaces were hosted in 44 countries.  Christians in the nations of Ethiopia, Mongolia, Tunisia, Tanzania and Viet Nam prayed 24-7 for the first time!

It’s easy to look a set of numbers like that and think… “Yeah, that’s nice, but… er… so what?”  Each of those 24-7 Prayer Rooms afforded people like you and me the chance to talk with our creator.  As I closed the book/word document on 2010, I couldn’t help but utter one more thanks.  Today I read prayers and testimonies from students who’d prayed 24-7 last year, young people who were just one group in the 908 who registered here on the 24-7 Prayer website.  This line in particular jumped out at me:

“Thank you for saving me from suicide and giving me true life”

Amazing.  God gives life.   Let’s pray for that life to spread in 2011.
