Crime rates dropping in the state that praysCarla Harding - 21 Jan 2011

“I thought I would give you a quick update on the AZ Torch,” Wrote my good friend Deb Fritch.  I always get excited when an email from her pings into my inbox.  They’re generally full of great encouragement about the continuous prayer that’s been going in the state of Arizona, USA for years now!  The opening line of this email confirms my hopes of exciting stuff to come so I read on...

“I thought you might be interested in the attached article that announces the decrease in the crime rates in Phoenix!”  As churches from all streams of the Body of Christ have given themselves to a 24-7 chain of prayer, peace has been descending over their home.  I eagerly opened the attached document and started reading…

“At a recent City Council meeting Chief Harris explained to the council how crime in the City has plummeted to an all time low. The crime percentages of today are what we were experiencing 20 years ago.” Reports the Pheonix Law Enforcement Association

The article goes on to suggest many different potential reasons for the drop in crime.  Speaking to Deb, I know that she can’t get past the coicidence/correlation between the rise in a wave of unstoppable prayer and the rise in peace.  Looks like the state of Arizona has lots to thank God for as 2010 ends and a new year begins.
