24-7 Prayer Rooms crop up in some pretty funny places. We’ve heard from people praying night and day not just in churches but in Police Stations, schools, work places, homes, aeroplanes, outdoors and at various festivals throughout the world. I love reading stories from these sacred spaces about people meeting with God, and being changed. Here’s one of my favourites from this week…
“We had an absolutely great and blessed camp over the New Year in St. Gallen!” Writes Susanna Rychiger from 24-7 Prayer in Switzerland (pictured left). “There were 4000 young people between 14 and 25 years old there. It was the fourth time we’ve run a camp like this and it was the best ever. It was so deep – God’s presence was everywhere. The young people met God in worship, prayer and on the streets. They brought the gospel into the streets in many creative ways… there was a hunger just to meet God on a very personal way and celebrate with friends.
The prayer room was fantastic… The room was big and secluded, so people were able to seek God in the quiet. I’ve never had a prayer room like this before… There were 50 people in the room and not one sound… Being around 4000 people all the time, sleeping in halls with 300 – 1000 others meant that many enjoyed the time and space with God… just being in his presence…
God’s presence was just amazing! I’ve never had so much good feedback about the prayer room. It turned into a real artist’s studio. People loved to meet up with God after the main sessions, many people got saved, many met God/Jesus one to one… so many amazing testimonies…
The camp was tremendous… the God dimension reached a new level and the young people returned home hungry to go out and built His kingdom, hungry to bring His truth to the lost and deepening their relationship with Jesus. Wow – great times are coming!”
