24-7 US Update - Pilgrimages and PlansRachel Wegner - 23 Mar 2011
Hello there, global 24-7 family!
This update will be a bit briefer than usual, in lieu of a bit of a scattered last month or so for the 24-7 Prayer USA team. Each of us had individual travels that took us far and wide for fund-raising trips, personal trips and ministry trips alike. In fact, as I write this, I've just returned from a pilgrimage to the Stockbridge Boiler Room in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a handful of dear friends from the Tulsa Boiler Room and a few members of my local family at the Kansas City Boiler Room. Keep an eye on our Stories section for a story about our journey and about the heart of the Stockbridge crew as they bring redemption to the derelict west side of Grand Rapids.
From February 22-24, we joyfully received a few dozen friends from the USA Boiler Room network to Kansas City. Joe Steinke, our fearless Communities Leader, and Jon Petersen, who serves as the International Communities Leader for 24-7, were both on hand to lead our time together. We also fell in with a conference held by 3 Dimension Ministries (3DM) that presented a Biblical model of discipleship, church-planting and missional community. We had a joyful time of conversation, fellowship, prayer and dreaming. Read the summary of our time for more details.
We are also laying plans for our 24-7 Prayer USA National Gathering, which will happen in Tulsa, Oklahoma from May 26-28. Stay tuned to our Gatherings page for more information and registration details in the next week or so, and keep track of our Twitter feed for forthcoming announcements.
That’s about it for the latest news from the USA!
Until next time…
-Rachel
