The Global Day of Prayer ApproachesCarla Harding - 31 Mar 2011
On Pentecost Sunday for the last two years, millions of Christ's followers in every nation on planet earth have prayed the same prayer! From a gathering of a few thousand in South Africa at the turn of the Millennium, this passion for united prayer and repentance spread first through Africa, and then the rest of the world. Now, the Global Day of Pray is heading into its second decade of uniting the continents and the church in calling out to God.
“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7: 14)
Add your Amen this Pentecost Sunday.
On the 12th June Christians will be gathering in numbers large and small to pray together. For the 10 days approaching it, many will be hosting 24-10 Prayer Rooms. In the 90 days following we’ll be continuing to live out our faith practically in the streets where we live.

This day feels like one small part of answering Jesus’ prayer in John 17:
“…that they may be one as we are one…”
