Hearing God's Heart for the BalkansPhilip Evans - 29 Jun 2011
The lakeside town of Ohrid in southern Macedonia is a magical well kept secret at the heart of the Balkans, but it's strategic location makes it a great place to gather like minded believers from across this region of Europe.
The 24-7 Balkan Connect is designed as low key conference for prayer and mission minded people from across The Balkans to gather for teaching, worship and prayer, but just as importantly a chance to network and connect. The key is in the name > Balkan > Connect.

This year we gathered as 70 people from 5 Balkan nations, joined by friends from around Europe. A group from Finland drove down in a van they had purchased especially for the trip.
There were some familiar faces from the communities in Macedonia, Bulgaria and Greece, but we were joined by some new friends from Romania and Albania.
The key topic during our time together was sonship/daughtership as children of the father and we took time to travel together through material provided by Glasnost leaders, Ian Nicholson and Tommie Naumann.
Daily times of story telling and prayer for each Balkan nation were powerful and it was great to be able to pray and commission Toni and Sneza Popov as they begin to develop a community in Ohrid itself.
People who arrived as strangers always leave events like these as friends, and we finished the special time with a meal cooked outside together including communion led by Alpin Pop Nikolov. Many questions were asked about where this kind of gathering could develop in the future, and we need to spend time thinking, praying and talking together.
Will you join us next time?
If you would like to gather together with others from across the 24-7 movement please consider booking in to to the 24-7 Eurogathering, held this year in Frankfurt, Germany from 6th to 9th October.
