Praying for London: Video from the clean up zonePete Greig - 29 Dec 2011
During Christmas week we're taking a look back over the year and re-blogging some of our favourite posts. Chaos hit the UK for a week this summer as riots sparked in London. Many peoples homes and places of work were devastated by the violence, but in the aftermath, hope arose. Prayers resounded throughout the country and the public went out onto the street to help in the clean-up effort. Check out the post below which was watched by over 8000 people, a testament that people want to, and are, praying for our Nation.
How do we respond when chaos appears to reign, anarchists take to the streets and literally run riot through our cities?
This morning I met up with 2 friends and headed into one of the worst affected areas of London. This video explains a little about the nations response and helps us pray in the aftermath of last nights chaos.
If you would like more help in understanding how to pray Alana Wiens has written an excellent post on her blog.
Let's pray!
