Prayer in Guatemala is a must!Carla Harding - 29 Aug 2011

John Wesley once said,

"God does nothing except in response to believing prayer."

An incredible statement that lays an amazing opportunity before us.  As people around the world learn to pray in creative, night and day prayer rooms each week, I can't help but wonder what God is up to. In the last few weeks I've been chatting with Emily Ortiz from Guatemala.  Emily's church has prayed 24-7 a few times and felt the need to start sharing vision and seeing prayer spread…

"We did this prayer room during an event held by Ezra Centre which is a non profit organisation here in Guatemala that works with pastors and leaders training them for the mission, specially to those in poverty conditions." Writes Emily. "Each year they hold a type of congress with a specific topic. This year it was about Discipleship. So we wanted to make a 24-7 Prayer Room as a model for them to get to know about this program because prayer in Guatemala is a must, and 24-7 is such a creative way to teach how to. (In my church we've had 24-7 rooms twice, so I've been through the experience myself and wanted to share that).

So, the prayer group of Ezra Centre were the ones that spent more time in the room but a lot of others visited for a short time and were thrilled by the idea, I spent sometime there too and its just awesome how you can feel God's presence."
