24-7 Office MakeoverScot Bower - 18 Nov 2011

For a couple of days this week some of the 24-7 Prayer international team laid aside their macbooks, disappeared from Skype and generally went offline. Instead they picked up paintbrushes and rollers, drills and screwdrivers and set about transforming the office.

The team are grateful for their office space in the heart of Guildford, England. For extended periods during 24-7's history they have found themselves working from kitchen tables coming together only in coffee shops and skype meetings. However grateful though we are, the office is little more than a corridor in an old lawn-bowls club... This week we took up the challenge to beautify our corridor:

It all begins with a trip to a DIY store where Carla gets distracted and overly excited by Christmas decorations...

Whilst the team put their foot down over the giant-reindeer-roof-ornament they did relent and allow the super glitzy pink 'fairy' fairy lights!

Then it was back to the office and down to work.

Painting things blue...

and pink!

Coat hooks and notice boards go up and then work begins on the mural...

The cartoon is an interpretation of the God's touch moment in the cistene chapel and a screen shot from an 'in production' animation 24-7 are producing - more on that in the new year.

And finally after much hard work we have an office we are truly thankful for.
