Pray HIV week 5: World Aids DayAndy Freeman - 1 Dec 2011

Today is World Aids Day.  Around the world millions are wearing a red ribbon as a moment of solidarity with those facing the virus.  There are many events being staged around the world - some which you could join in.  Check out www.worldaidsday.org to find out more.

Here at 24-7 we’ve been praying through the month of November.  Praying for people affected by the virus.  Praying for those seeking a change.  Praying for the marginalised and the poor in our world, many of whom bear the brunt of HIV’s affects.

Today we’d like as many of you as possible to wear a red ribbon, to pray and to stand with those facing the virus.

And as we finish our month of prayer, ask God what He might be asking you to do in response.  We’ll be writing with some ideas soon, but why not contact us if you sense God saying anything.

Thank you for praying with us for HIV and AIDS this month. Prayer changes us. Prayer changes our world.
