Pray now for North KoreaKatie Cornick - 22 Dec 2011

On Monday the North Korean Leader Kim Jong-il died, this forced the country into a season of change. Here at 24-7 we released a feature explaining why it is so important to pray for North Korea while it goes through these changes. Check out the post below for more ways to pray for North Korea in these defining times.

What may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse

Romans 1:19-20

Father, speak through your creation. I believe your Word. Your invisible qualities, your eternal power and divine nature can be clearly seen and understood through the world you made. The heavens declare your glory! Lord, I pray that you would reveal yourself through the order of this universe you designed. Use the stars, use the simple beauty of a seed maturing and producing fruit bearing trees. May all the citizens of North Korea see the image of God in each other. Open blind eyes, God.

Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, “Who is the Lord?” Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonour the name of my God

Proverbs 30:8-9

I ask you for justice. Corruption has had the opportunity to run throughout the ranks of government leadership. I know this grieves your heart and I invite you to share those emotions with me. I invite you to soften my heart towards the poor, that I would share this burden with you, the Great Intercessor. Give North Korea her daily bread. Multiple rice and grain, in Jesus name. Glorify your Son through awesome acts of spiritual, emotional and physical provision to those who trust in you. Allow these acts of heaven come to earth be a witness to your Son.

Go therefore to the main highways, and as many as you find there, invite to the wedding feast

Matthew 22:9

Strengthen your Church in North Korea. Give them wisdom that they would grow in depth and maturity. Increase the spread of your word. Protect each individual light, each man, woman and child who calls upon your name. Thank you, Father, that your glory is their rear guard. Shield them from scheming eyes and allow them to fly under the radar, so to speak. You will lead them by your Holy Spirit to those who are hungry for Truth. Lead them in these days, that many families would be invited to your wedding feast.

Amen!
