Resources: The Iron Lady - 8 Feb 2012

 The Iron Lady hit cinemas across the world earlier this year; it follows the extraordinary life of Margaret Thatcher, the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. This film provides an intimate look at a woman who became one of the most famous and influential women of the 20th century. In her life she dealt with many obstacles, both as a national leader, but also a wife and mother. Our good friends at Damaris, who devote themselves to creating resources that help the viewer discover spiritual insights in popular culture, have released a bunch of helpful online resources that take a deeper look at the host of life issues that are highlighted in The Iron Lady, such as:

  • overcoming prejudice;
  • balancing family and career;
  • making a mark;
  • coping with change;
  • celebrating achievement; and
  • dealing with regret.

To check out all this great material just swing by the Damaris website where you will find downloadable videos and discussion guides that walk through some of these struggles and find out what our faith has to say about them.
