New Leaders of 24-7 Ibiza - 23 Mar 2012

This week’s Spaces podcasts have been hosted by Brian Heasley from 24-7 Ibiza. In 2005 Brian and his wife Tracey felt the call of God to move out to the Spanish island of Ibiza and their obedience led them into seven years of serving and ministering to tourists and workers in the ‘party capital of the world’.

The rhythms of life at 24-7 Ibiza are simple; they pray and they serve, they meet everyone they encounter with the conviction that they are beloved sons and daughters of God who deserve an encounter with Him. Sometimes this is through prayer; sometimes they simply demonstrate the love of God by serving their needs, like the hundreds they drive home who are too drunk to get there themselves. They are the hands and feet of Jesus to  thousands that walk the streets of Ibiza each year.

After seven years of learning a lifestyle of ‘Prayer as Mission’ the Heasleys are moving back to the UK to look for the call of God in this next season. They are handing the baton for 24-7 Ibiza to a marvellous couple called Charlie and Abby Clayton.

Charlie and Abby arrived on the Spanish Island just a few weeks ago to begin setting up for the summer season and blogged...

So we are here at last in Ibiza. And it is beautiful. If you haven’t been here and you enjoy places full of culture, with a warm climate, stunning views and beaches then this is a place to put on your holiday list. In a few short days, we have had the privilege of driving round the island, trying to get our bearings and in the process have been blown away by the beauty of His creation we have seen.

We have been here a week now and it is a weird mix of emotions, feeling like you are fully at home, but yet everything is different. We are currently staying with some friends on the Island and hopefully will move into our own apartment next week. This will really help us to settle, and able to start getting on language courses, get a NIE number and start to make life here. We have been overwhelmed by the welcome we have had from Brian and Tracy and others, and we know that we are going to enjoy living here. (continue reading)

They also took the time to record a short video introducing themselves to the rest of the 24-7 movement. Please take the time to watch and then head over to their blog to say hello and wish them well.
