Son Rises in the EastPete Greig - 31 May 2012

24-7 doesn’t so much make waves as surf them and right now there is some serious surf in Asia! God is moving powerfully throughout Asia and we are paddling like crazy to keep up.

In Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim nation, where 24-7 Prayer is right at the heart of their current revival, we’ve been asked about planting a Boiler Room in every single city.

In Malaysia our prayer for justice resource recently shifted 50,000 copies in six weeks in three languages.

In Japan we’re being asked to help with the rebuilding of an entire village destroyed by last year’s tsunami.

A few days ago I received a message from Cambodia asking for help with establishing a House of Prayer in Phnom Penh.

Just sixty years ago the church in China was on the brink of extinction when Chairman Mao expelled all missionaries, but today there are between 100-300 million Christians in China, probably making it the largest Christian nation on earth.

We are doing our best with your help to respond to these thrilling opportunities in Asia, but also in Europe and America where our vision is greater than ever. I returned from Indonesia last week with renewed clarity. We must urgently mobilise the Western church to seek God’s face because if there is just one thing to learn from our brothers and sisters in Asia, it is that God’s purposes progress powerfully only (yes, only) when God’s people prioritise prayer.

You can help us respond in three ways:

  • By praying: Why not establish a 24-7 Prayer Room in your church or on your campus?
  • By training: Why not spend 5 or 10 months training with 24-7, starting next September?
  • By giving: Why not become a 24-7 Partner and help us respond to so many opportunities?
