Red Moon Still Rising... - 18 Feb 2005

The impact of Red Moon Rising - the story of 24-7 - continues to totally amaze us. We're regularly flabbergasted by the emails of encouragement and the stories of the way the book is touching peoples' lives and mobilising prayer. (I guess I should admit here that I really enjoyed using the word flabbergasted, but have no idea if it's spelled right). There are now 5 editions of the book definitely planned or in print:
  1. UK
  2. US
  3. Dutch
  4. German
  5. Finnish

One year on from the book's initial release, Relevant are reporting a surprising upsurge in American sales, at the very time when most books are coming to the end of their shelf life. In January alone, two thousand copies of the book were shipped in the U.S., necessitating a second American re-print.

Another cool thing... Red Moon Rising is now being stocked by America’s biggest book chain, Barnes & Noble (left). We’re really excited about this and would love to see more 24-7 titles available in the 'real' world like this. In fact, if you live in America, why not buy an extra copy for a friend from your nearest Barnes & Noble to encourage sales (as well as your friend)?
Meanwhile, we discovered that a Bible college in Redding, California has even made Red Moon Rising one of its text books that all students are required to read!

If you've been impacted by the book, you can encourage others by writing a review on Amazon USA here or Amazon UK here.

Meanwhile, in other 24-7 book news:
We’re really excited about a number of other new resources that will be hitting the stores this year, including:
Writing On The Wall: The Cries Of A Generation
  • Lord of the Rings – a brilliantly researched, inspiring and surprising book about Count Zinzendorf by Phil Anderson
  • Writing on the Wall – a book of non-religious prayers from 24-7 rooms around the world compiled by Brian Heasley with Bob & Andrea Jobe and Carla Trundle.

Also watch out for:
  • A new 24-7worship album,
  • a DVD of The Vision
  • Hopefully we will also soon find the money to re-release the ever-popular 24-7Chill CD (left).
Why, you may sometimes wonder (in your darker moments), does 24-7 produce stuff like this? By selling products, are we - erm - selling out?
These are important questions - ones we continually ask ourselves, and the bottom-line for us is this... Our resources are part of a deliberate strategy to equip people all over the world to pray, play and obey like never before. That's why it's always so cool to hear feedback about the amazing ways God's moving through them.
