Meet Peggy a 24-7 Prayer PensionerAdele Watts - 29 Jun 2012

Peggy was widowed 11 years ago. She shared how much she misses her husband, Les, but that she is not lonely. Having spent time myself with the Stanford Boiler Room community I could understand how it would be hard for anyone to be excluded from this community’s commitment to share life together.

For 5 years Peggy has been a cherished member of the Boiler Room and as we talked this lovely lady told me how the essence of the community brought her closer to God. Peggy loves the fellowship in the community, the support, the practical help she is offered (weekly shopping and transport) and simply the kindness of her friends. This support speaks volumes to her sons who appreciate it just as much as Peggy.

This is a special lady who looks forward to her own prayer times each day and consistently prays for others with energy.

If you haven’t had the good fortune to meet Peggy yet perhaps you should get along to this years Eurogathering, Peggy will be the one sat at the back praying her heart out… and the one who will raise the most money in our 24-7 Fund Raising Auctions with her amazing knitted creations.

Thank you Peggy, you are an inspiration to us all.
