If you're anything like me you will already have been drawn in to the whirl that is the Olympic Games 2012. So far I've sat through Womens Archery, Skeet Shooting (wasn't sure who Skeet was or if they succeeding in hitting him!), Weight Lifting and Road Cycling. I've been well and truly captivated by sports I have no interest in (until now) and countries I'd only ever seen on a map.

If you too have been sucked in you might like to do something more with your new-found love of random events and nations. There are several prayer guides that have been published which will help you pray through the next few weeks.

1. More than Gold have a whole heap of resources including this fantastic daily prayer guide.

2. The Church of England have developed some liturgical resources as well as written some great prayers for the games.

3. Prayer Spaces in Schools have also come up with some Olympic themed prayer stations for the summer.

and if all that fails I recommend getting yourself a copy of Operation World and an event programme!
