Christian Perspectives on Masculinity - 16 Mar 2005

Why are there so few men in churches in Europe and North America?

What is this 'crisis in masculinity' that's talked about so often within the Christian press?

What does it mean to be a Christ-centred man in today's society?

Re-turn, a network of Christians exploring biblical gender equality, are providing space to look into these issues on Saturday April 16 in the UK.

Tell me more!
Well the day will be an informal gathering, located in Birmingham, UK, and will have input from Roy McCloughry, author of 'Hearing Men's Voices'. There will also be lots of time for discussion. The day will start at 10.30 and will finish at 4.30pm.

I'm a woman, can I come?
Sure, in fact we'd love to hear thoughts from a wide range of perspectives. However, to ensure that there is space for the guys we're limiting the number of spaces for women so book early.

How much will it cost and how do I book my place?
The cost will be £10 to cover the cost of hiring the venue. To book a place or find out more contact Ben on [email protected]

How do I get there?
The venue is Birmingham University Catholic Chaplaincy, Newman House, 29 Harrisons Rd, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 3QS.

Who are Re-turn?
Re-turn is a network of Christians seeking to restore the image of God as one where women and men have equal status.

Our vision is of a world of equal relationships between men and women, between girls and boys, reflecting God's image in the home, at church, at school or work and in the wider community.

Our goal is to motivate and equip a new generation to engage with and live out a biblical perspective on gender equality and justice.
