Miami, nice! tales from 24-7 crew@Miami music festival - 2 Apr 2005

This year, 24-7mission sent a recce team to the Miami Winter Music Conference. This is new territory for us and the team was there to 'spy out the land' for future mission opportunities, do church on the beach, look for divine connects and battle the hardships of sunburn! During their time their they had a rollercoaster ride with God and on the plane back to the UK they even had the chance to pray with a professional soccer player from a top English team. Here's their report:

"So we're home...

we have been on a huge rollercoaster of a ride, there is so much information that if we wrote it all down for you, you might be infront of the computor for the next few years!!!!

it has been amazing.

While we prayed for Charlie, 2 people just walking by stopped and prayed with us for her! Quality stuff.

One of our new friends said that our faith levels are always set higher by what we experince now for the situations we encounter next. With what we have seen here in Miami, my faith is so expectant for this summer and for I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us next year.

On the plane back, Mark ended up sitting with England under 21 and West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand. (Mark is a life long West Ham fan!!) Mark ended up having a very cool chat with him, including what we could pray for him. He asked if we could pray that he doesn't get injured this season so lets go for it!!

The thing is, after all the people we connected with, and met, in Miami, it just didnt seem like such a big thing to be sitting with a professional footballer. God has shown just a little bit of what he will do if we allow him to use us.

What chance did we have....

"No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do." (Jesus)

Let's trust more.

"woo-hoo!!!!!yeah!!!! choose to lose!" (Charlie)
