United in Praying for GBBrian Heasley - 22 Jan 2013

Motivated to catalyse continual prayer in 2013, 24-7 Prayer has joined with Hope Revolution, Urban Saints and Global Day of Prayer London for a year of prayer called: ‘United We Are.’

The story began last September as 32,000 Christians gathered in Wembley Stadium for the National Day of Prayer. A ‘Gideon’ style army of 300 young people took part in a special commissioning for ‘United We Are’. These young men and women wore red hoodies and paraded around the pitch during a reading of ‘The Valley of Dry Bones’ from Ezekiel 37. As they walked a Mexican wave went around the stadium as Christians from all over the country showed their support.

Phil Hulks from Urban Saints, spoke to share hopes for young people to impact the nation through being released to outwork values of unity, prayer and transformation in their area. 52 regional mission hubs in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, are taking up the banner to pray 24-7 through 2013. One week at a time.

‘Prophesy to these bones and say to them, dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.  Ezekiel 37: 4-6

Hundreds of church youth-workers and young people from all over the country are  on board with this initiative, but it’s not too late to sign up a youth group or a cluster of young people in your area to pray for the rest of the year. Check out the website www.thefatherslove.co.uk and get sent a leader’s pack then sign up your prayer room www.24-7prayer.com for resources to pray non-stop.

24-7 Prayer rooms will be going on as normal through-out 2013 as well, with the 52 regional weeks specifically focused on outworking unity & transformation among young people.

‘They came to life & stood on their feet, a vast army.’  Ezekiel 37: 1-10
