As the Students Go, So Goes the Nation.
Throughout American history colleges and universities have been repeatedly blessed and transformed by intense seasons of spiritual awakening. The early records of many ofthe best U.S. universities read like a virtual history of spiritual revival. In fact, no other nation has ever enjoyed as many student awakenings for as many consecutive years as the United States of America. These awakenings were sparked and spread by national concerts of prayer.
For nearly a hundred years the Church in America observed a day of united prayer for God to awaken and revive our colleges... It's time that history repeated itself!
This year's Collegiate Day of Prayer is taking place on the 28th Feb. Churches, campuses and communities are being called to adopt a campus and pray for students across america and around the world.
If we win the spiritual battles across our nation but neglect our college campuses, all our progress will be undone in a generation… This generation needs our unified prayers — please join us in praying for America's college campuses!
Whilst the CDOP is a US initiative, the principle is the same around the world: "This generation needs our prayers". Why not take up the challenge and pray for your local University or College campus on the 28th Feb?
The CDOP website offers free resources to help you and your church pray. One of the best resources for praying for students in recent years is "God on Campus" by Trent Shepherd. Grab your copy and get inspired to see God move amongst students!
