Dutch ask: What If students prayed?Edwin Hamelink - 15 Feb 2013

What if... people prayed?
What if... the students in the Netherlands would fill a year of prayer?
What then would the Netherlands look like?

A year ago Pete Greig and Scot Bower challenged some ministry leaders in the Netherlands by asking them these questions. A seed of faith was planted in our hearts and in our heads.

We saw God doing amazing things last year: students started weeks of prayer at their local universities. Team 24-7Prayer NL was formed out of different ministries working together to catalyze prayer among the young generation in the Netherlands.

One of the things that we knew was needed was to organise a tour to university cities across the country to encourage, inspire and challenge the students by asking them one question:

What if?

In February and March  2013 the 24-7 prayer What if? Tour will visit 10 different university cities in the Netherlands. We will worship, pray and ask God what he wants to do in these cities. God is the same yesterday, today and forever and He still wants to use us in making a difference in the world we're living in. We believe that God wants to encounter every student attending this tour and pour out His love in their hearts. We believe the prayers we'll pray will start something new in our country. We don't know what that will look like, but we believe it's a good thing. The adventure begins this Sunday in Leiden at  the start of the connect week where students and churches will have a week of 24-7 prayer and mission. Lets get this party started!
