What will God do as two Years of 24-7 Prayer don’t end in 2012 but spill into 2013? I guess we’ll find out, as two nations are still praying and show no sign of stopping soon…
Can’t stop the prayer for justice in Malaysia and South Africa!
2012 was a year drenched in encounter and intercession as Christians united in nations like Malaysia, South Africa, the UK and more to pray without ceasing 24-7-365. As December heralded the end of the year and the crescendo of prayer, many prepared to end with celebrations. The Church in Malaysia and South Africa however decided that now was not the time to stop.
Interestingly both nations and visions for non-stop prayer share a common heart: a cry for justice! In Malaysia they were prompted by significant events and the year of jubilee for their nation. In South Africa they’ve moved from praying ‘Your Kingdom Come’ in 2012 to ‘Stand in the GAP for the nation and social justice’ in 2013. Interesting that two nations, in two different continents are crying similar prayers and won’t be stopping before autumn.
