Prayer Alert: Girl Rescued from ProstitutionThe Phantom Intercessor - 23 Apr 2013

Sonia is one among seven young girls rescued from prostitution. Her trafficker brought her from a neighboring country on the pretense of giving her employment.

At home, Sonia has a paralyzed mother and a bedridden father. 

One year after she was rescued, she continues to suffer from acute depression and doesn't eat a lot.  The other girls rescued along with Sonia have been sent to sheltered homes in other parts of the country. 

The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed: Psalm 89:6

Sonia is the only witness who can testify against 14 people accused in a legal case about her situation. This case needs to be admitted to a higher court for legal proceedings to begin. Stringent sections of the law have been added to the charges so appropriate action can be taken against those who exploited the girls. 

Sonia needs your prayers.

Please pray that Sonia would recover from depression and that the legal proceedings would begin as soon as possible so she can be reunited with her family after that. 

Lets ask God for wisdom and grace for the management and staff of the shelter home that Sonia is in. There are many other girls suffering from severe trauma there as well. Please pray that the main person in charge finds the strength she needs to handle the situation well. 

Pray that Sonia will have the boldness to testify and that God would help her to remember all the details she needs to give an effective testimony. Finally, for Sonia's family members to be healed and for hope and a stable future for Sonia's entire family.
