Seeds of Hope: First GB Resource DayTheresa Stone - 2 May 2013

Up to150 people came to the first ever 24-7 Prayer GB Resource Day in Guildford this April, hosted by Emmaus Road Community Church and 24-7 Prayer.
New prayer champions from the south of England joined Pete Greig and Brian Heasley at Emmanuel Church in Guildford to hear about the incredible spread of 24-7 prayer in GB, and the world over the last few months.
We listened to the wisdom of Jane Holloway from The World Prayer Centre, who spoke on a theology of persevering prayer. We encountered God radically through prayer and ministry as a spontaneous 'fire tunnel' of prayer emerged after a worship time led by BlueTree's Pete Burton.
Pete Greig shared about 'prophesying life to the bones' in prayer, while Sally Harman spoke on the seeds of hope being watered through the lives of the 24-7 Prayer Stanford community who have taken prayer to local schools in Essex. Emma Nicholson from Emmaus Road inspired deep passion for setting up 'Prayer Spaces in Schools' in a local context.
We've coming back feeling totally inspired, and wanting to harness the energy! The 16 year old with us has already infected her mum with enthusiasm for prayer spaces in schools and the 18 year old who is an apprentice wants to start a prayer space at his company. Anonymous

It was a fantastic day! I came away feeling inspired to press in and persevere. The talks were a good length, short and punchy which helped with concentration and focus . The hospitality was great. I wish we had brought many more people!

Thank you for the refreshing. Thank you for the affirmation of the calling on my life. Thank you for the fellowship and real testimony. May God continue to inspire, affirm and encourage you." Fiona Witherden, Surrey
