The Prayer Course is Available Now - 20 Sep 2013

24-7 Prayer and Alpha International have teamed up to produce a brand new video resource: 'The Prayer Course' which is now available for download totally free from www.prayercourse.org

The Prayer Course will journey through the Lord's Prayer with six short videos designed to fuel discussion and deepen the prayer life of your church.

Each episode is hosted by Pete Greig, as follows:

Adoration - Our Father in heaven

God's not a slot machine!
This session explains how we can enjoy God's presence in prayer,
approaching him with worship.

Petition - Give us this day

Petitionary power is asking God for help.
In this session, we ask what it means to pray 'in the name of Jesus'
and why the answers to some prayers are delayed.

Intercession - Your Kingdom come

Intercession is praying for the Kingdom of God to come in our world.
In this session we explore how to pray for others powerfully.
We also focus on Jesus - the ultimate intercessor.

Perserverance - Your will be done

In this session we explore unanswered prayer,
the importance of honesty and lament,
and how to deal with areas of deep disappointment.

Listening - Our daily bread

In this session we learn how to discern the voice of God,
and explore some exciting tools that can help us
to engage with the Bible.

Warfare - Deliver us from evil

In this session we explore our authority in Christ.
We learn how to use our freewill to create a landing pad for God's will,
and how to resist 'Principalities and Powers' in prayer.

You can either stream or download all the sessions from the Prayer Course website, where you will also find leaders guide to go along with each episode
