Pray for Pakistan as 85 Christians die in church bombingThe Phantom Intercessor - 25 Sep 2013

On sunday (22nd Sept) two suicide bombers targeted All Saints Church in Peshawar, Pakistan - one of Pakistan's oldest Christian houses of worship.

The explosions killed 85 of the church attendee's and injured 120 more. Christian leaders have considered it the deadliest attack on Christians in the countries history. The Pakistan Taliban have claimed responsibility, saying the attacks were in reaction to the US Drone strikes on Pakistani soil.

Christians in Pakistan remain a religious minority (only 1-2% of the population) in a largely Muslim nation. The explosions have provoked Christians throughout the country to protest; throwing rocks, blocking traffic and burning tires.

Pray for Pakistan

In this painful time, pray for peace for Pakistan. Pray that God would comfort those who were injured or lost love ones in the attacks on sunday and strengthen Christians who are facing persecution in Pakistan.
