International Gathering: Singer-songwriter Trevor Borden to perform - 10 Oct 2013
Only one day before we have to close online ticket sales for the International Gathering next week (17 - 20 October) in Dublin. For today's highlight we have another exciting event of after hours entertainment for you:
Highlight 4: Trevor Borden
On Saturday evening, after we have feasted together in the famous and beautiful Trinity College Banquet Hall, we will have the privilege of being serenaded by the incredibly talented singer-songwriter: Trevor Borden.
Trevor was born and spent his early years in the isolated bush of Kenya (East Africa), he then moved to Lisbon in Portugal where his musical pursuits began in High-school and he quickly started playing electric guitar for a garage punk band. In 2007 Trevor moved continent again and landed in Santa Barbara, CA where he played for numberous bands, touring America, before he came into his own as a solo musician and songwriter. A review from Earmilk had these kind words to say about Trevor Borden and his EP Giants
"Giants oozes a humble confidence, like the kind earned after a long solo journey. The intimate relationship he has with his music is audible, though it's hard to escape the thought that he's holding back on most of Giants' tracks. Tracks like "The Light" and "Giants" are dying to be played around a raucous campfire or to be yelled while driving on the Pacific Coast Highway."
