West London: Boiler Room blow up during week of prayer! - 31 May 2005

"We had quite a chilled out week of 24-7 at the West London Boiler Room this month -  apart from one fairly dramatic event," Boiler Room Abbot Tim Rose says.

"People came and went as they do, praying, painting and hanging out with God and then on the Thursday afternoon, I met to pray with Steve Deeming (who's working on the proposed North London Boiler Room) and Andy Wilson (Reading and UK Boiler Rooms) to pray about Boiler Rooms.

We were praying for the Holy Spirit to continue to blow through Boiler Rooms and 24-7prayer. As we did that the front door of the Boiler Room blew open (which happens fairly regularly) and the big drapes that we have up in the boiler Room blew like mad.

We were left with a sense of holy fear and looked at each other as if to say 'anyone want to carry on praying?' For us it was just a reminder again that this whole thing is a move of God and we have to be very careful how much of it we try and control."
