Goodbye to Phil Baldwin - 13 Jun 2005
He's the man who perhaps sums up 24-7 prayer better than anyone. Phil Baldwin (below) was a 'non-Christian name' on the wall of the first ever 24-7 prayer room in
Chichester, England who found Jesus and then pioneered the ancient art of 'prayer football'. Before long he became the first 'full-time' member of staff with 24-7 and has served faithfully in both our Chichester and London offices for 4 years.
Chichester, England who found Jesus and then pioneered the ancient art of 'prayer football'. Before long he became the first 'full-time' member of staff with 24-7 and has served faithfully in both our Chichester and London offices for 4 years. With 24-7 Phil says he has travelled all over the world, he's slept in wet tents, walked across dangerous borders in Asia, he's participated in mission in Amsterdam, he's driven a van to Germany and so, so much more! The picture on the left shows him in the Spanish Pyrenee Mountains at last years Round Table.
Phil recently moved to Peckham in London, got engaged to his lovely girlfriend Ellen and has been headhunted to work for the Christian Socialist Movement in the UK! We send him on with our thanks and our blessing, knowing that he remains a vital part of the 24-7 community even though he's now going off to do a 'proper job'!
We love ya Phil!
