Run Alpha: Reaching the Next GenerationTim May - 25 Aug 2014

Tim May explains why Alpha is inviting hundreds of potential leaders to London (UK) this November to explore how to reach their generation.

Have you ever been at sea at high tide, when the waves are crossing and the current is changing? It is a time of critical decision-making. Are you going to settle for the shallows or break loose for the open seas?

Right now, the church is in a profound time of change. It is a time to decide whether to act courageously and decisively. At this critical time of change we don’t want to settle for the shallows. We want to break loose. We want to go through the waves and get to the open sea. Each one of us is called to participate. Each one of us can play a role in Alpha.

Alpha wants to meet a generation in their questioning.

Imagine if we all invited our friends to bring their questions into a space of authenticity and honesty.  We believe that is where things will change. We want to see a generation invited to Alpha. But it takes each one of you.

What do I need to do?

If you are passionate about making a difference, if you are committed to Jesus and want to see a new generation come to know him, we invite you to join us at Run Alpha this November.

Run Alpha is an interactive training experience where you will gather with people from across the UK and Europe to learn everything you need to know to run Alpha. We are going to pray, worship, encounter God and at the same time get the practically knowledge to learn how to run Alpha effectively.

Alpha has been running for over 20 years. Over 24 million people have done it in 169 countries. This gives us 20 years of knowledge, experience and stories from hundreds of contexts. We will be boiling this down into small chunks so you can get everything you need to know about running Alpha.

This is just the beginning.

We live in a connected world which means it doesn’t end on the Saturday night. You will leave with tools to live out a vision of seeing lives changed and communities meeting with God. As we go each one of us will be empowered, with a vision and plan to run Alpha with a new generation.
