The Scottish Referendum - How to PrayCrystal Cryer - 28 Aug 2014

And this is the sound of the underground, the whisper of history in the making; Foundations shaking, Revolutionaries dreaming once again. Mystery is scheming in whispers, Conspiracy is breathing… This is the sound of the underground...

This is an exciting time to be living in Scotland!

When you look around at your communities, schools, workplaces, the nightlife or watch the news, you may question this. But as we hear stories from prayer rooms all across Scotland, we are excited for what God is doing in this beautiful nation!

God's work is often not immediately obvious. It often begins in the unseen places...

No matter where you stand in regards to Scotland's upcoming vote for independence, you can see that "foundations are shaking" and "history is in the making" right now. We need to encourage the church to pray and seek God and not just vote out of their heads but by His Spirit.

And no matter which direction this vote takes us, it will leave us shaken, it will not just be life back to normal. We as 24-7 Prayer Scotland believe this is a time for us all to be praying for Scotland as never before - and want to encourage you in your church and community to be coming together in prayer for this massive decision…

Decisions, decisions

Maybe that thought intimidates you because you feel you don't know that much about the Referendum. Or maybe it seems dangerous for church unity as your church has strong opinions on both sides.

That is why we at 24-7 Prayer Scotland are creating some prayer room, events and station ideas for you to make it a bit easier! We will be encouraging prayer for the Referendum based not on differing human opinions, but on simply asking for God's best for this nation, for His purposes for Scotland to be fulfilled, for His kingdom to come and His will to be done in Scotland as it is in heaven.

If you would like these free resources to help you and your church/community pray together and be part of "making history" in this nation, just e-mail Crystal at [email protected].
