A warning - let's take this seriously - 14 Feb 2002

Pete Greig writes: "I believe we need to take the situation with the fire in Darlington as a bit of a warning against complacency in 24-7. With 100's of Prayer Rooms operational in so many places there is so much that could go wrong and halt what God is doing... A fire, an attack in the night, hacking into the website server etc.

In just the last 2 weeks we have had:
  • The fire
  • Someone held up at knife point who responded by yelling in tongues at the attacker who was then so frightened he ran away
  • A girl who witnessed a car theft as she left a Prayer Room in the middle of the night and is now helping the police with their investigations.

  • We have deliberately not shared any of these stories publically but we do believe in the need for increased prayer cover.
The guys in darlington have handled the situation very well and its great that God has done so much through their fire already. But let's allow this to be a wake up call for us to really cover the Prayer Rooms in God's protection. The enemy prowls around like a lion... Let's not presume upon anything. Thanks.
