Prayer Spaces in Schools Launch their BRAND NEW WEBSITE!Rachel Roxburgh - 6 Feb 2015
This has changed my mind about praying, so it’s basically changed my future."

Something rather wonderful is happening in our schools...
From classrooms in busy inner city schools, to tents in tiny rural playgrounds, all over the UK and increasingly abroad, children and young people are being encouraged to reflect and pray.
Since back in 2007, and the first rumour of one of these prayer areas, Prayer Spaces in Schools (an initiative of 24-7 Prayer) has tracked and supported well over 1000 prayer spaces in countries all over the world, enabling over 500,000 young people to experience prayer – many for the very first time. For a few days, a space within a school is transformed into a safe, hospitable place that includes a range of creative activities encouraging students of all faiths and none to reflect on issues as wide ranging as identity, forgiveness, injustice and thankfulness.
The approach does not proselytise and purposely allows students to make their own meaning and conclusions. Prayer spaces have been welcomed and praised by Head teachers, Ofsted inspectors, youth workers and parents of different backgrounds and beliefs.
So, as Prayer Spaces in Schools continues to grow, we’ve needed to redevelop and improve our resources, and we’re delighted to announce that...
...we’re launching our brand new site, today!
This new website will have even more inspiring prayer space stories, more free downloadable resources (including all the videos from our Day Conferences and Development Days), a fully-revised step-by-step guide to getting started with your first (or your fifteenth) prayer space, new pages focusing on the development of spiritual life in school, and loads more...

So check it out - www.prayerspacesinschools.com - and we’d love to hear your comments and feedback about it. In fact, if as you’re exploring you see anything that needs tweaking, please do let Phil and I know by emailing [email protected].

I have to say I've never seen anything like that. It absolutely blew me away - absolutely incredible. I kept thinking I wish I'd thought of that!"
