EDIT NOTE, AUG '10: Read important update on the story here
You might have seen that - working with our friends at Christian Solidarity Worldwide - 24-7 Prayer have been praying and campaigning for the last few weeks for Reverends Yat Michael and Peter Reith, 2 Sudanese clergyman unjustifiably arrested, denied visitation and outside contact and facing charges carrying life imprisonment and the death penalty.
Yesterday, the miraculous and unexpected news came through that they had both been released, charged but freed on the grounds of time served.
"I have become like I’m born again"
Reverend Yat Michael
"I am feeling free because I was in jail for many months" Reverend Michael told CSW. "I have become like I'm born again".
Thanks you for your prayers and your voice in this fight. Let's continue to pray for the pastors and their families in the fall out from this case - and let's pray thanksgiving for their safe release.
Hallelujah.
