#throwbackthursday: 2015 Highlights - 7 Jan 2016

2015 was undoubtedly 24-7's biggest year to date.

47 nations all over the world prayed 24-7, our 15th birthday in Vienna was celebrated by 4000 people, and 250,000 people visited our website.

But it's weird, we’ve already reached the stage where Christmas, let alone the rest of 2015, already seems like a distant memory... We can’t remember who was Christmas Number one, never mind how many mince pies we consumed.

But just before we dismiss 2015 as another yesteryear, we wanted to look back, Throwback Thursday style, at 10 of the top moments of our 24-7 year...

(Plus, if you scroll right to the bottom, there's a fancy new infographic we put together to highlight some of our favourite moments of the year)

10... March saw 10 nations from all over Asia gathered for the rather momentus, first ever 24-7 Prayer Asia Gathering…

9... Back in February Pete Greig wrote a gentle response to the infamous Stephen Fry rant that appeared all over Twitter. (And our website nearly exploded as a consequence)

8... Over Lent we explored ancient spiritual practices with our the latest installation of our (award winning!) podcasts, exploring the art of Examen...

7...  Right at the beginning of the summer the 15th anniversary edition of Red Moon Rising was launched! (And with it, a long over due confession from UK director Brian Heasley...)

6... Over the summer we sent nearly 100 awesome people on mission teams all over the world (and we're doing the same this year...)

5... After many many months of work, on July 1st we saw the launch our new website with tons of brand new shiny features...

4... And just in time for the new term, we introduced Origins - our brand new prayer course written especially for 11-18 year olds. (We're very proud of it)

3... As the refugee crisis caused shockwaves the world over, we saw the mobilisation of more then 20 nations, joined together in response for a week of prayer for those in need

2... An absolute highlight of our year (and maybe our lives so far) came in in late October, as Vienna '15 saw over 700 (at one point 4000!) of us gathered in Austria's capital to come together, worship God and celebrate our 15th birthday

1... And just last month, we delved deeper into the Bible with our annual advent podcast series The Word. This year we made it in partnership with the awesome Seed Company (who's work is definitely worth checking out) and saw the series top the iTunes video podcast chart again. Hurrah!

Phew.

2015, you've been incredible. And 2016? We're so excited for what lies ahead...
