24-7 Ibiza announcement: New team members!Charlie and Abby Clayton - 21 Jun 2016

We're now 6 weeks into the new season here in Ibiza and are seeing some incredible things happening as God works in the streets of San Antonio and Sa Pena as 24-7 Ibiza pursues prayer, mission and justice here.

As always, we have people coming from all over the world to join in our community for the summer season; being trained in missional thinking, community transformation and being challenged to grow deeper in their walk with God as they bring the life-changing gospel to derided places and forgotten peoples.

24-7 Ibiza continues to be an integral part of the local communities we live in, being relied upon by individuals, businesses, local government and emergency services to bring hope, love and care to all we meet.

There are so many amazing stories, but, we have some exciting news to share...

After leading the work of 24-7 Ibiza for 4 ½ years, we're now relocating back to the UK, and 24-7 Prayer has been considering a number of people to move to Ibiza to form a larger team in San Antonio. This team will continue to grow the work that has been established on the island over the last 15 years.

Although primarily they will be developing the work in San Antonio, the new team members will of course be part of the wider community that has been established with Danny, Lydie and Asha, continuing to deepen the work of 24-7 Ibiza in Sa Pena with the Roma people on the other side of the island (see blog for more).

We're so pleased to be able to announce the first two team members who will be part of the new team in Ibiza:

Stephen McCann

Stephen McCann is from Belfast, Northern Ireland and has been working with the Methodist Youth & Children's Department for the last 8 years. Having been working with 24-7 Ibiza over the last 7 years through short and long term teams, he has a love for the streets of San Antonio and a desire to see people know the love God has for them.

Jud Sweeney

Jud Sweeney is from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Jud has been involved with 24-7 Prayer for more than a decade. She has spent 6 summers serving 24-7 Ibiza on both short and long term teams and was part of the team that pioneered 24-7 Magaluf in 2015. She has a passion for people and a desire to bring hope and love to their lives. Jud is taking a career break from her job as a primary school teacher and is an active member of Christian Fellowship Church Belfast.

They will be moving out in the latter part of 2016 as they begin the next chapter in the story of 24-7 Ibiza.

Please be praying for them as they continue to make preparations to move, that God would speak clearly about this next phase, and that they would be established quickly here on the island. We thank God that he continues to send people to Ibiza and we look forward to the journey ahead.

We continue to be in conversation with others about joining the team, and we anticipate that we will have more announcements shortly, so please be praying for discernment for us and for them over the coming weeks and months.

Thanks for your continued support, prayers and encouragement of the work of 24-7 Ibiza!
