#JusticeinKenya: Stand, Act, Pray. - 8 Jul 2016
"IJM exists to protect the poor from violence, and Willie Kimani’s life was taken while courageously pursuing that mission"
– Gary Haugen, IJM CEO
International Justice Mission (IJM) are an incredible organisation who fight for the world's poorest people and seek to protect the most vulnerable from violence.
Two weeks ago, the deaths of an IJM staff member Willie Kimani, IJM client, Josephat Mwenda, and taxi driver, Joseph Muiruri were announced. They went missing as they were returning to their homes following a court hearing. Their bodies were found northeast of Nairobi, after an extensive search led by Kenyan police and IJM staff.
IJM exists to protect the poor from violence and Willie's life was taken while courageously pursuing that mission.
As Christians, taking action to fight against injustice is vital. Join us as we stand in prayer with IJM, and fight for justice for these deaths.
"Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow"Isaiah 1:17
