It Must Be Love: thoughts on EuropeIan Nicholson - 22 Jul 2016

“It has been said that the only thing that gives Europe its sense of shared identity is its common, transformative experience of the Christian gospel.”

Ian Nicholson, 24-7’s European Director, recently wrote a short paper on the landscape of Europe, as he sees it, following the recent EU referendum.

With many years of experience living and travelling across mainland Europe, Ian’s voice speaks personally of the impact that the referendum will have across the United Kingdom and beyond, as well as touching on six suggested actions for Christians and the Church to take across Europe.

“Over four decades, I have criss-crossed this wonderful continent time and again. Without doubt the most significant part of this journey has been the hundreds of friendships developed with young activists and old heads, united by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to be filled and led by His Spirit. It has been fulfilling and hard work but, as I am increasingly realising it has also been a pilgrimage – a journey of discovery and presence…”
